I saw this on HobbyChaos and had to totally repost. After a long day, something like this just makes me smirk and laugh.Otakuology.funny.LEARN IT,heh. And Side info -Shokotan(Nakagawa Shoko) sang the opening for Gurren Lagann. She also has many interests which you can guess at.or check out by simple google seaches, etc. Enjoy ;)
Orginal Content from HobbyChaos:
Here`s a video of the Otaku queen, Shokotan dressing as Haruhi, lecturing Akiko Wada (a female Japanese singer and television performer) on the "Otaku Studies" in a disrespectful tone, bewildering her from start to finish.
She even showed off her cosplay versions of Misato from Evangelion, Doremi from Ojamajo Doremi, and Vegeta from Dragon Ball, and to finish, got Wada to join in, with Wada playing Rei to her Asuka, and even gave acting directions. LOL
Part 1. She is so kawaii dressing as Haruhi! ^w^

Dec. 25, 2009 - Black Rock Shooter

By now its old news, but I thought I'd take a moment to put mention for it here anyways.
Black Rock Shooter, a Song by composer-Ryo is due for an anime based off the song. Ryo is the composer for supercell and is also known for his work with the Hatsune Miku Vocaloid program.
Many of his works even had fan made videos using animation programs and such. Somewhere along the way, a way cool PV for the Black Rock Shooter song was made and to say the least, the right people saw it. I do wonder though, what is the plot exactly? Or should I say, I'd like more info for it as the PV does make me quite curious and interested.I'm looking forward to seeing more on this.
Oh, and additional more recent supercell related songs are the themes to this Earlier Season's Bakemonogatari(I totally recommend). That and I believe Supercell also did the theme to the movie,Cencoroll. I hear many good things about this film. I still need to gettin around to seeing that later. My series just keep piling up on me. That and I still haven't made as much time as I'd like for Gunpla work. We'll see how things turn out after the holidays though. Happy Holidays, folks!

I dunno, but its not 1280x720 - insert sad face here- , oh well though, I'm just glad that there's not another delay to ep13. Now its time for delays for ep 14,hahahaha. Been busy lately, but updates and such are to be posted soon( if I can get more than a 15 minute free window...)
but hopefully, a real posting soon. later til later.

Oct. 08, 2009 - GANTZ MOVIE????WHA???

Surfing the Otaku.fm Rss feed, I stumbled across this. WHOA. I don't really know how to respond. I saw Gantz and read some of the manga. Making it "ok" for general audiences? I dunno bout that. Its nihilistic theme is best "shock delivered" with gratuity and violence. It's really quite the series. I really enjoyed it,but I also know that its probably not for everyone. Also, another Manga/anime made live-action? One part of me is a little worried and conflicted and another excited since I'm a fan of Gantz. We can only wait to see the results and try to have an open mind to fully enjoy the newly presented medium.(least that's what I tell myself,HaH!)Thanks to the Blogger's RSS for this post, INTERESTING!
Original article:
Hiroya Oku's sci-fi action manga "GANTZ" is being adapted into two live-action films planned to be released in 2011. The movies will star Arashi's Kazunari Ninomiya and actor Kenichi Matsuyama. Shinsuke Sato is directing the film and will use lots of CG and the producers are aiming to make the film suitable for general audiences, which means that it may likely lack the violence of the original manga.
Although Kei and Masaru are high school students in the manga, their characters will be older in the movie. Kei has been turned into a college student looking for work, while Masaru is already working and taking care of his younger brother. The two childhood friends happen to meet again on a subway platform.
Oku's manga is still being serialized, but the two movies will tell a complete story with an original ending.
Filming is scheduled to start next month. The first movie is expected to hit theaters in winter 2011, while the second is slated for spring 2011.
Kazunari Ninomiya as Kei Kurono

Kenichi Matsuyama as Masaru Kato

I just started watching Gantz few days ago and there`s too much violence in it! Will post my first impression some other time!^^
"GANTZ" has been serialized in Young Jump since 2000. Kei Kurono and Masaru Kato are two young man who should be dead after a train accident, but they are summoned back to life by an entity known as GANTZ. Under GANTZ's orders, the two are repeatedly sent on missions to fight against alien beings. So far, 26 volumes of the manga have been released in Japan, selling more than 10 million copies combined. Oct. 05, 2009 - Bakemonogatari Ep. 13 to stream on Oct. 28th

Its been announced that Bakemonogatari's continued web-streamed episodes will begin streaming on October 28th.
Original posting-
Bakemonogatari’s official website announced today that the 13th episode, part 3 of Tsubasa Cat, will be available online on Wednesday October 28th. That’s the same day that the second DVD/Blu-ray covering the Mayoi arc will be out, and I suspect demand will be very high and that their online streaming might be swarmed on the first day. In fact, the first Bakemonogatari DVD/Blu-ray volume came out last week and sold out instantly, and Patrik tells me that a big reason for the remarkable popularity is the inclusion of a secondary audio track where Hitagi and Tsubasa comment on what happens on-screen, in a completely original in-character conversation written by NisiOisiN himself. In any case, mark your calendars for October 28th if you like Bakemonogatari.
Man, I can't wait.Ah,the waiting!

August 01, 2009 - Toradora,toradora,tora??dora dora.

Just started and finish another series, ala marathon style(good marathon though).
Finished Series- Toradora.
I gotta say, I really enjoyed myself with this series, I'm all for dramatics here, action there, but sometimes I really need a break and gotta watch something offset, sorta that "too much of a good thing" kinda feeling? anyways, that offset?usually, its comedy,sliceoflife-esque,just generally less serious shows, its nice.good ol warm & fuzzy, leaves you feeling refreshed for the next thing, major whaff. I mean if you watch nothing but things like gundam and hellsing, etc etc(not that there's anything wrong with that,I guess.),don't know bout you,but I get this whole influence superceding violence overload thing goin on-again,too much of a good thing.or in this case, bad and violent.
Continuing on, this series was actually referred to me by someone else(and yes, I'm now just watching toradora, only half a year after its premiere.)...anyhoo.like I said, I enjoyed myself with this series. At first, I was caught by the interest of the contrast of our 2 introductory characters. As the episodes progress, I found myself more and more invested and hooked(man, is this what soap opera fanatics feel like?ugh,Anime-aholics anonymous). I'll try not to spoil too much, but I really really liked the ending. It wasn't trying to be all awe and unpredictable like sooo many other series which would actually make them predictable. It didn't go with a super "open ended"ARRRRGGGGHHHHHAAAGGGHHH!!!!!!! feeling sorta ending either to which I'm glad(those things are torturous for me sometimes, seriously)and the series didn't go all "dude with harem" series and end with no decision which kinda usually moots any character development he might've gained or worse(alto, you sonofa....). It was very pleasing, seemed more natural with the series' themes and generally closed things up nicely. total whaff feelings after it was all said in done.not a bad way to end your night before goin to bed.
Animation's pretty good,consistent. There was an epic catfight of dramatic proportions,there was definitely some of the whole"remember this arc/scene from the manga and now its been translated to the anime?BBbbawwwww,yay,etc etc." Plenty heartjerkers,tearjerkers,and empathy in this series.While its more dramatic and less funny than say,school rumble-Thats not a bad thing. Given, School Rumble did have some dramatic serious moments,but not enough weight in total.it was more all over the damn place.(I mean WTF,season 2?huh,WTF???oh and let's not get started with the infamous season 3 that only had the 2 ending eps and no damn season 3 in-between,again WTF????DO you wanna die,you damn sonsof......Got me all invested and had so much damn potential,you pieces of....GAHHH(>_<)!!!!!....clears throat*...moving on...) This really had a nice flow to things I think. I don't really give any series a full 10 outta 10 since I'd like to think of the 10 as room for improvement for all series and future series,but I'd like to definitely give a high 9 and big recomendation(maybe 7 or 8 for this for those who aren't into this type of show). Not many shows close up things so well,well not since of recent,very refreshing to see so.Thats enough rant reviewing for now,I need me some foodage.Toradorable bastards...^^;
Toradora-9/10
*thanks for Recomendation, keep up the good picks.
With this, and more recent info-hunting, I have high hopes for Bakemonogatari.
Sidenote*-seriously,Ami looks like kaname chidori from full metal panic.
